What the dentists and the general population know about Dentin Hypersensitivity

Aim: Dentin hypersensitivity (DH) is a health condition with variable prevalence rates, affecting large portion of the population, especially young adults. This study aimed to verify level knowledge on subject both dentistry professionals and students general population. Methodology: An exploratory-descriptive quantitative analysis was carried out using digital form released via social media be filled in by Google Forms tool. Four dimensions were evaluated regarding characteristics presence DH, as well specific related group (dentists/dental or population). Results: The answered 212 participants. Of these, 69% lay population claimed frequently consume acidic foods drinks, 35% have sensitive teeth 30% self-indicated products for treatment DH.
